When used with an associated indicator, transmits such data as revolutions per minute, speed of travel, and the like. May also be used in servomechanism loops as a system stabilizer. Excludes rotary inverters, rotary converters, motor generators, dynamotors, generator sets, synchros, frequency or phase changers, and engine accessory generators.
